It finally happened! My baby girl turned 16. I still find it hard to believe it was 16 years ago that this wonderful person came into my life. We have all grown so much in the last 16 years....we have grown together too. Sixteen years ago, her parents were only 21 & 22. When I see a 22 year old now I think they are just babies themselves. :-) It is amazing to think that we had a baby at that age but I know that a lot of people do and even younger. Isn't it funny how your perspective changes over the years? We thought we were quite capable at the time and with God's grace we seemed to have done pretty well (at least looking at our girls I feel that way).
Well, of course the one that has grown and changed the most is our girl. She has gone from a baby, to a toddler, to a little girl, to a bigger girl, to a young lady in what sometimes seems like the blink of an eye. Where did the years go? How did this happen? Of course, we, her parents couldn't be prouder of the young lady she has become. The Lord has given her so many gifts and talents. We look forward to seeing where God is leading her. I know that she is going to be a wonderful wife and mother one day. Any other pursuits the Lord leads her to will just be icing on the cake. Happy Birthday Catrina!
