(A picture Hannah took of some flowers that my wonderful, thoughtful husband brought me.)
There are a couple of strange things that happen at my house. (Probably more than a couple but we will save all that for another time.) Well, I think they are strange. Growing up I always wanted to be the petite little girl. I thought they were so cute and tiny. Wouldn't it be fun to be like them? Well, that never happened.
Now I have 2 daughters. There is a competition at my house about who is the tallest....well, of the girls anyway. At church each Sunday my youngest stands real close to me, puts her arm around my shoulder, and grins while looking DOWN at me. She is so proud that she is taller than her Mom. I think it may be by the tiniest percentage of an inch but she is convinced that she is officially taller than her Mother now. She is happy.
To settle this debate once and for all we took a few photos to figure it all out. Here we have my two lovely daughters saying they are each taller than the other....you be the judge.
(These photos were taken some time ago as you can see by the Christmas card still hanging up. Well, I can't say it was that long ago. I did keep all my Christmas stuff up WAY TOO LONG this year because my sister was planning to come have Christmas with us in Feb.)

We still couldn't tell so we used the old "book on the head" test. Yes, I noticed the title of the book and NO it wasn't planned. These things just seem to happen to us. :-)

So then I had to get in on this too. Crazy "bed head" is causing me to have to crop the heck out of these next photos. Just know that is me on the left. We just HAD to find out who is the tallest early in the morning you know.
Above is me and my 17 yr. old.

Above is me and my 12 yr. old. I know the crazy hair makes it look like I am cheating doesn't it? OK, let's be honest. How many of you are thinking. Wow! I didn't know homeschoolers had THAT much free time!!!
I did say there were a couple of strange things didn't I? The second one is the strangest one of them all. There is a competition at my house (again, just with the girls) of who has the biggest feet! Can you believe that? Coming from someone that wanted to be petite, tiny, short, and cute this just blows my mind. The only thing funnier than that is that so far the winner is our youngest! This is one competition I am HAPPY to lose!!
