Diagram of a Prom

Our oldest went to prom. This has been a really fun time. I had no idea that prom was a family event and that it was an all day event. We were all so excited for Catrina to get to go to the prom. We all were into it.(Homeschoolers do a lot of things together as a family but that is one of the perks!)

Catrina and her Dad found her dress while I was visiting family in Indiana. We all looked for the earrings together at the mall. Catrina & her Mom went to shop for the garments that you can't see. ;-) Later, Mom ordered the gloves on line. Our good friend Adam did her hair.

I helped with her make-up. Her Aunt Betsy took photographs.

Catrina had a great time. Her friend from many years took her and another friend she has known most of her life went too. It was a great day and evening.

Before prom we helped her get ready and took a few pictures.

Then her dear, long time friend came to pick her up.

Then we went to the park where Betsy took some awesome pictures.

The weather didn't cooperate completely but it all worked out in the end.

Then they went to dinner. Afterward, they finally went to the prom. It was over around midnight. The evening was topped off with a trip to IHOP. Then our tired girl came dragging herself home. It was a long day and a long evening. One of those days that you never forget though.
