Hannah modeling the dining room walls on a Sunday morning. We need to find something that can keep this girls eyes open when her picture is taken.

I have some more pictures of our dining room/kitchen re-do. I thought we were really close to the end but something changed.We really wanted to take up the carpet in the dining room (it is old and worn) but didn't think it would be in the budget. However, someone (you know who you are-thank you) was kind enough to give us about half of the money we need for that project. There isn't much point in finishing and putting all the furniture & decorations back in the dining room. It will stay half empty for a bit longer. In time, we will pull up the carpet, pull up the layers of laminate that are under it, clean the floor, and then add about 12o of these. Then we can put everything back together.
We have only hung 2 things on the wall so far and that is most likely it until later. The first one is the green door you see above and below.
Michael made this! It is an old door with a mirror on it. We found it in an antique store. He added the old glass door knobs along the bottom (for coats) and the hooks for keys on the left side. Michael's Grandpa made the beautiful stained glass angel hanging in the center.
(He also made one for each of our daughter's. VERY special.)
The other thing we hung I don't have a photo of yet. I hope to have that later. It is something special also.

Over the weekend Michael got the kitchen drawers all done.

The last thing to do before the floor is paint the cabinet doors. That is going to be really neat. It will really look done at that point. Oh wait, the actual doors in the kitchen/dining room haven't been painted yet. OK, so we have 2 more things to do. Until then here are some photos so far.
