I am hosting our first Christmas Cookie Exchange for our homeschool support group this Thursday. I am a bit nervous about it since I have never done it or gone to one before. In case you are wondering what this is all about you can click on this link. I have spent a lot of time researching and planning for this event. I hope it pays off! I have a dear friend that is helping so that is a huge blessing. Thanks Kahri!
This looks like something that would be a lot of fun to do with just your friends.

Also, I recently went to a friends house for her Annual Christmas Tea. It is just for her lady friends. She has been having this for several years. Every other year that she had invited me I couldn't go. I was very excited to get to go this year.
As you might have guessed we had tea in pretty tea cups. She had also made some wonderful tea foods. I finally got to try a cucumber sandwich. I didn't think it was going to taste very good at all. I was really surprised! It was yummy and very simple to make. I think we will have this at our next tea party. I also tried something she said came from the freezer section at the grocery store. Looks like it would take forever to make it yourself. It was a triangle shaped thing. It was made with Phyllo dough and was filled with spinach and cheese. It tasted mostly cheesey and not so much spinachy (yes, I know those aren't real words)! We had a nice visit and enjoyed the food. Also, we all brought a $5 gift to exchange. We played the game sometimes known as "dirty Santa". That is the one where you can take another gift if you like it better. We all liked our gifts to so we didn't take advantage of that. It was fun though and I am really glad I went.
