1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate?

Hot Chocolate! I love hot chocolate, well, because it is chocolate. I can drink egg nog too. I don't drink much of it but the rest of my family LOVES it!

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just set them under the tree? We wrap everything!


3. Colored lights on tree/house or white? Both!

4. Do you hang mistletoe, and where do you get it?

For many years my husband has been so kind to bring mistletoe to me. He did it mostly when he used to work at Ajax. He would get it for me on the way home. Now that he works in Tulsa, close to the airport he takes the highway all the way home. I am sure it is hard to pull over and get it. ;-)

5. When do you put your decorations up?

My plan is always to do it after Thanksgiving. Actually following through with that marvelous plan doesn't always work.

6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)?

Wow! That is a good question. I love it all! Can't do without the meat and mashed potatoes. We all really love the Sweet Potatoe Casserole that is pretty much a dessert. Oh, I just can't decide!

7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child:

Another hard one. One very memorable one was when I received a Hope Chest FULL of china! I was so excited. I still have both of them.

8. When did you learn the truth about Santa?

Hmm, seems I have always known.


9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve?

Yes! My girls love to do that so we do.

#1 Hubby gets tree down.
#2 Catrina asks when we are going to have Egg Nog
#3 Hubby puts tree together

#5 Hubby puts lights on tree
#6 The girls and I begin decorating
#7 I start to nag Catrina because "you aren't helping"
#8 Catrina asks when we can have Egg Nog
#9 I get annoyed and say again, "why aren't you helping? do you want your sister & I to do it all without you"? Catrina replies with "sure"!

11. Snow! Love it or Dread it? Love it!

12. Can you ice skate? Well, no.

13. Do you remember your favorite gift? Oh my! That is a tough one. I have been blessed by so many wonderful gifts. I will list some favorites: the hope chest & china dishes above, an awesome antique pitcher & bowl set, antique glass jars, jewelry!, a porcelain Barbie Doll, oh, this could go on forever....

14. What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you?

Spending time with family and giving! The food is pretty good too!

15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert?

Anything my Mother-in-Law makes! She is a great cook and baker!

16. What is your favorite holiday tradition?

See #14, above. We also enjoy going to our church on Christmas Eve for caroling, communion, and lighting all the pretty candles.

17. What tops your tree?

An angel of course!

18. Which do you prefer giving or Receiving?

Giving is wonderful but receiving isn't too bad either.

19. What is your favorite Christmas Song?

I like a lot of songs. I don't know if it qualifies but "Mary Did You Know" is pretty high up there. You can listen to it here.
