Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone! Hope you are going to have an extra special day today. My romantic husband already gave me flowers, chocolates, and a lovely card. He is so good to me!

When my girls get up they will be asking about our annual Valentine's Day Treasure Hunt. They look forward to that every year. I read about someone else doing that one time and thought it was a great idea. I never dreamed that at 16 one daughter would still be such a fan. Of course, who isn't a fan of going on a treasure hunt to find chocolate. Yum!

I am thinking of doing something extra special in addition to our treasure hunt. I am thinking of having a "spa day". (Hannah has to go to the Dr. today for her second treatment for warts. Not so special! She had 19 and they froze each one of them. If you have never had this done it is painful. She was very brave but it was really hard. I know she is not looking forward to her appointment today.) In light of that, I thought a "spa day" might be just the thing to take her mind off of it. I think that I could do their nails, maybe do some sort of mask, and give them a pedicure. We could do all that before the appointment so Hannah will feel extra pretty today. Home educating is great! We get to make our own schedule! Can "spa day" count as a class on health? ;-)

Here are some funny comments I found at PageADay.com

"How do two people wind up falling in love?

Andrew, age 6: “One of the people has freckles, and so he finds somebody else who has freckles, too.”

Mae, age 9: “No one is sure why it happens, but I heard it has something to do with how you smell. . . . That’s why perfume and deodorant are so popular.”

Manuel, age 8: “I think you’re supposed to get shot with an arrow or something, but the rest of it isn’t supposed to be so painful.” "
