HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHERRY!!!

I have to send out a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my wonderful friend Sherry!
For those of you that don't know we met in IN (at the the church) before we moved to OK. I was looking for a possible college room mate. She wasn't. She had already gone to college and was looking forward to NOT having a room mate. It wasn't long after we met that we were great friends and later were room mates in college, after all. I was a frightened 19 yr. old girl a long way from home and she was a gift to me from God. Her courage, boldness, sensitivity, and kind heart were and still are some of the things I really admire about her. She is awesome and I love her. This picture was taken when Sherry came out here to visit. We went to eat at Red Robin. Notice the word on the picture between & above our heads....that wasn't even planned. ;-)

Sherry is the kind of friend you read about or hear about. The kind you always wanted or wished you had. For most of my growing up years I prayed for a good friend. I didn't think I would ever find one though. They were O.K. and we had some fun times but they just weren't that great. I had a few but either they moved away or I moved. God really answered my prayer with Sherry!

Below: My wonderful friend and my daughters. When Sherry & I met we had no husbands or children...look at us now!

This post is done in honor of Sherry's favorite color-navy blue!

Above: I love this picture. The people (outside of my family) that I have known the longest. They are very similar. God has used them both to change me in many ways. I am so grateful.

When Sherry and I go months without seeing each other we can pick up right where we left off. She is the kind of friend that brings out the best in me and challenges me. She is the kind of friend that when you ask....will always tell you the truth. She is the kind of friend you just know you can count on. She has laughed with me and cried with me and isn't afraid of messing up her mascara. ;-)

I always heard people say what I am about to say. It takes a long time to be able to say this.

I always thought it was amazing when people could say this so here I go.....

Thank you Sherry for being my friend for over 20 years!

I love you friend!!!
