My New Throne!

My wonderful husband is so talented. He can do just about anything. If he can't do it he can fairly easily learn to do it. Over the years he has been a cook, carpenter, plumber, mechanic, professional super glue-er, chauffeur and expert direction guy, tree trimmer, ditch digger, bathroom wall ripper-outer, carpet ripper upper/wood floor fixer, painter, computer technician, electrician, and general super handy man. I am sure I am forgetting something. On first attempt he made an amazing porch swing as well as a gigantic, award winning "work bench". Well, someone with awards SHOULD have given him one. Everyone that has seen it is amazed. I do believe a grown man could lay down on it and not be the least bit concerned about it breaking or him not fitting. It is crazy what this guy can do.

He recently tried his hand at reupholstering the computer chair. I like to call it my throne. It is from there that I go through the portal to the world otherwise known as a computer. It is from there that I send way to many emails, pay bills, read the news, do my banking, shop, read about curriculum, get recipes, work on school schedules and transcripts, pay more bills, request things from the library, check out my friends blogs, pay even more bills, work on things related to my homeschool support group, and find out all kinds of neat things. As you can imagine you need a fairly comfy seat when you do that much from one chair.

Michael found the antique chair that is at the computer some time ago. It is a pretty chair but it was not so comfortable. The padding had sunken in. It felt like you were almost just sitting on the chair without any padding. Not good. Here is the new and improved chair. Isn't it lovely?

After I took this picture I realized 2 things. One, I should have taken a BEFORE photo and two, I need a couple of chair models. Who wants to look at an empty chair?

Fortunately, I happened to find two chair models in the same room with me. The first model was a bit reluctant..I call her "The Reluctant Chair Model". Clever isn't it? I don't know why she doesn't want to help me with my addiction, ahem, I mean BLOG.

The last chair model was a bit over the top to me. What do you think? I call her "Over The Top Chair Model with Crazy Blue Flip Flops On" Yep, thought long and hard about that title too. It really shows doesn't it? ;-)
