HE Is Wonderful!!

You have probably been wondering if we are still here. We are. Life has just been very busy. Although I love blogging it does take time- and often more time than I realize. I hope that life will slow down so I can blog more but I don't suggest holding your breath.

HE Is Wonderful!

Anyway, I wanted to let everyone know how much I have appreciated your prayers and give you a bit of an update. While typing this all out I became almost overwhelmed with how truly wonderful God is. I hope after this update you will be able to say the same with all your heart too.

I asked some of you to pray for Hannah as she was getting all 4 wisdom teeth removed this past Friday. It is obvious that you were praying. She has done very well so God has answered our prayers. The day after her she was able to attend a Bible Quiz competition that she had her heart set on. I warned her that she may not feel up to doing anything that next day. It wasn't easy but she did it. She was glad she did. Mornings have been a bit rough for her but after we get over that hump it gets better. This morning seemed a lot better to me.
There were no complications. The oral surgeon said she did great, and we are continuing to pray that she doesn't have any dry sockets. The oral surgeon said that usually happens between 4-6 days afterwards. I think this would be the 6th day so it looks like we are in the clear.

Also, wanted to thank those of you that have been praying for my sister, Leanna, and her family. Things have been rough for them but as always God is seeing them through. Right about the time the cupboards were looking REALLY bare they got the assistance from the government that they needed. I believe that was Tuesday and I am pretty sure that was a few days earlier than expected.

They also had 2 big blessings yesterday. As you probably already know government assistance only covers food. It does NOT cover other basics like toilet paper, soap, shampoo, diapers, toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc. Yesterday, our cousin (thanks Denise!!!) stopped by with many blessings. She had gotten diapers and many other much needed items. Later, my sister left and when she got home she had another blessing. A church that she had never heard of had dropped off other non-perishable items for the family. Between what our wonderful cousin did, the church, and the assistance on food it seemed like Christmas I think.

Like last year, around this time their family was in need. As you can imagine it is a tough time to get help because a lot of people need help.

They had an appointment with the surgeon and it was decided that Donny will have the surgery on Dec. 10th. They still have a long way to go since after surgery he will be out of work another 6 weeks. However, as most of us know, God is never late but always on time. He never seems to be in a hurry when we are but then again HE knew about the situation long before we did. HE was already working it out before we even knew there would be a problem. Please, continue to pray for the family. There are many days that have seemed hopeless in between the blessings I am sure. It is easy to lose our joy during those times and as the Word says, the joy of the Lord is our strength. If we lose our joy we lose our strength. Continue to pray and agree with me that they will keep their joy and that God will keep meeting their needs even from unexpected sources.

I think that we need to pray specifically for the children. This is a wonderful opportunity for the children to see God working on their behalf and answering prayers. One of the children has had a struggle with God and I am praying that this situation will bring the child closer to the Creator. Thanks again for your prayers!

After your prayers take time to say thank you to our Heavenly Father and give him the praise HE so deserves.

HE IS wonderful and I know that full well!
