Having Valentine's Day Thoughts Already?

Have you come up with any neat ideas for Valentine's Day yet? If you do please comment here so we can all see it! If you need to be sneaky feel free to post it after Valentine's Day. Of course, if you do that you should at least email your idea to me. :-)

For the last several years (maybe for 8-9 years) I have had a treasure hunt for my girls on Valentine's Day. I did it one year and forgot about it. They next year my oldest asked if we would do it again. Since it was such a big hit I had to do it. I have teased the girls and made them think I was not going to do it and they BEGGED me to do it again. It is really cute.

I write out several clues and hide them all over the house. Each clue leads them to the next one and at the end they find their Valentine Treasure. It makes something small seem much bigger and much more fun when it takes longer than unwrapping a candy bar. I have also hidden many different things over the years. Sometimes I just hide a candy bar sometimes a pencil, candy, and/or Valentine's Day plastic cup. Anything will work. Of course you don't have to limit this to your children. You could really have some fun with this idea for your sweetheart!
