Are you voting today?

"Greetings,

This midterm election is very important! We urge you to vote and encourage others to as well.

We are blessed with the freedom to worship God, to spread the Gospel, and to teach our children at home in Godly ways. However, these freedoms are in jeopardy at all times, and we must be constantly alert and do our part in defending and maintaining our current freedoms or they will gradually be taken away.

We as Christians can impact our society and nation if we all make a concerted effort to cast informed votes guided by biblical truths. We should also seek to influence others to do the same.

Gary Bauer of American Values cites the war over the culture as one of the important reasons to vote on Tuesday. "We're just one Supreme Court vote away from overturning Roe and stopping the radical gay-rights movement's attempt to redefine marriage," Bauer said. "If conservative Christians lose in the Senate tomorrow, it will be a disaster, and we may lose our last chance for the next 30 years to make progress." Please Vote!

On the ballot this year in many states are issues dealing with marriage, abortion, cloning, and gambling. In states with these amendments (in fact in all states) it is important that your voice is heard.

Every single vote counts! As an American it is your right; as a Christian it is your responsibility.

May the Lord bless your family for His glory.

Be Informed and Pray

Be Informed

John Adams said, "We electors have an important constitutional power placed in our hands: we have a check upon two branches of the legislature, as each branch has upon the other two; the power I mean of electing at stated periods, one branch, which branch has the power of electing another.

"It becomes necessary to every subject then, to be in some degree a statesman: and to examine and judge for himself of the tendencies of political principles and measures." (As quoted on Wallbuilders' website.)

Pray

"I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings,be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority,so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life In all godliness and dignity. This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth." (1 Timothy 2:1-3)

• Pray for the election of candidates who will honor and follow the Lord and lead this nation in His way.
• Pray that measures will be passed that honor the Lord.
• Pray that the election will be fair and free of fraud.
