Not So Pretty Anymore-Winter Ice Storm Clean Up

Not a fun title at all and certainly doesn't show how much work is involved. These pictures might give you a bit more understanding though.

The picture below is #1 of the saddest tree in my yard. It looks like a tree in a movie, a haunted tree or something. This is stage 1.

Things weren't quite as 'pretty' once the ice melted.

As you can see Hannah is working up a sweat! ;-) Just kidding Hannah. I know you were just taking a break and you helped your Daddy a LOT!

Notice the safety harness on my lumberjack husband. Safety first!!! However, no amount of safety anything could keep me outside watching this. I had to enjoy it in pictures later. Whew! Glad that is over.
Of course, we have to have our lumber JILL too!

This is what we call a great homeschool activity-PE!

Below is photo #2 of the saddest tree in my yard. Stage 2 and it is half way done.

Get the tissue box ready.

There used to be 2 Bradford Pear trees in this part of the yard. All gone.

Notice all the trees/limbs lining the street? Any body need some fire wood for their firplace?

Below is #3 (and stage 3) in the sad tree saga. I hope you got that box of tissues. Isn't it sad? Oh my! Saddest tree around I think. I hope all the other trees don't make fun of it. :-(

Oh, what great fun that was! [picking up sticks and throwing them into piles for hours on end] Well, at least we had some great "bonding". LOL
