I think the above picture is how my sister is beginning to feel. Just get in bed and pull the covers over your head! This is one of my favorite recent pictures of her. Isn't she cute?
Prayers are still very much needed for my sister's family and especially her husband and Zackery. We don't want Zackery back in the hospital. He is still getting over pneumonia and his tempter threatens to go up again.
In addition to that Donny had to go in for an emergency colonoscopy due to symptoms he still has. The dr.'s are wanting his body to heal up from all the trauma (while in the hospital in Nov.) before they go in to do surgery. They are telling him that surgery is inevitable.
Of course, they need prayer for this physical issue but they are having to make some difficult financial decisions. With all the work that he has had to miss for his dr. appointments, medical procedures, hospital stay, Zackery's emergencies and hospital stays, he has had to miss a lot of work. As we all know when you miss work they won't pay you. Please pray for their health, peace during this storm, and for wisdom from God to know what to do and the finances to cover their basic needs.
I am reminded of the following verses in II Corinthians 2:3-5
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
There is a war going on here. My sister and her family are following after Christ but the enemy doesn't like it. Pray that they will NOT be discouraged during this fight and that they will remember what their true weapons are.
