Yes, it is true. Homeschoolers lock their children in the house and never let them out. OK, that is such a LIE! Homeschoolers laugh about that all the time. We know when people hear that we "homeschool" they get an image of us locked away in our homes all the time never going out into the "real world". I am going to let you all in on a little secret....we WISH we could do that. We feel like we are busy all the time. I look forward to bad weather (snow or ice) and Christmas holidays because everything is closed and things are cancelled or closed down. Then we get to stay home and not feel guilty that we aren't out running around. I look forward to the one day a week that we don't have to go anywhere at all. We can stay home and have the WHOLE day for uninterrupted school. Our family doesn't do nearly as many activities as some other families I have heard about. Between lessons, activities, events, school, field trips, household chores, errands, shopping, and the rest of our daily lives we have a lot going on. We often do "car schooling" too.
Below are more pictures from the Regals Awards Night. The ones closer to the bottom were taken after the Awards Night at the Coffee Banc. Catrina is a Jr. Leader at Regals. She has enjoyed doing that for 3-4 years now. Once a month they would all meet at the Coffee Banc for some kind of fancy drink. This was the last one of the year and many of the Jr. Leaders and Leaders attended. They had a good time.
The first picture is all (or most) of the Jr. Leaders. I think you have to be 12 or 13 to be a Jr. Leader. I suspect Catrina is the oldest or one of the oldest in this group.
The Leaders gave all the girls white aprons and Catrina is signing one of them below.
Jr. Leaders being recognized.
