(I realized today I need a lot more digital pictures of my Dad! For some reason I don't have many....Dad we are going to fix that so get ready. Next time we visit you will be seeing my camera a lot.)Today is Father's Day and I (Kim)wanted to share with you all what a wonderful Father I have. My Dad is the best. Here are just a few of the many reasons I love him and appreciate him.
#1 He took time for me. One of my favorite things was that that he took me skating all the time. I LOVED roller skating and except for the times he would tease me by saying "Didn't you hear? The skating rink burned down....no, really it did!" he really helped me with my skating addiction. Thanks Dad!
We had "parties" when I was a really little girl. That was a lot of fun. Those parties consisted of us sitting in bed watching TV at night while eating snacks together. Of course, I think Grandma was the servant on those nights bringing us out snacks and pop. :-)
Since my parents were divorced my Dad had to come pick me up every other weekend. No matter how far we moved he was like the mailman... "Neither snow, nor rain, nor heat nor gloom of night stays these Couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds." Nothing stopped my Dad from his appointed rounds. I remember us getting stuck in the snow one time when he was trying to get me back home.
In addition to never missing my weekends he never missed a support payment either. An amazing record that lasted over 19 yrs. Thanks again Dad!
Dad came to any and all events we invited him to. I will never forget my high school graduation. It meant so much to me that he was there. It was the first time I ever had a picture with BOTH my parents and me together.
{I can't find that picture now so if anyone has a copy I would LOVE to have it. }
#2 Although my parents were divorced when I was a baby my Dad never said one unkind word about my Mother. As all divorced parents, I am sure, he had ample reasons and opportunity but her never did. As an adult I have been so impressed by that. He is a great example for me in that. I don't think I could have done it though.
#3 He always listened to me. I never felt he was too busy for me even though I only saw him every other weekend. When I visited I felt like the center of the universe (I hope I outgrew that, sorry Michael). I would have been spoiled ROTTEN if I had that treatment all the time but it was sure great!
To Dad: You are a great Dad and I appreciate you and all you have done for me! I hope you are having a great Father's Day today. I love you! (Hugs & Kisses)
In this picture and the one under it you can see my wonderful brother too. Isn't he handsome?

The picture below is my Dad at MY daughters play. He means so much to me. Thanks Dad!
