We Went To The Ocean

Hello (from New Jersey) Everyone!

We are having a really good time in New Jersey! We went to see the ocean on Thursday and the weather was PERFECT! I had a few minutes so I thought I would post a few pictures.

We went to Sandy Hook Beach & to the lighthouse that was there. It is the oldest lighthouse, still working in the US. I thought it was interesting that when the lighthouse was built it was only 500 feet from the ocean. Today, it is a mile and a half from the ocean. That is a big change isn't it?

The building in the first picture is the visitors center. It said the temperature was 83 degrees and the water temperature was 61 degrees. It felt cold to my feet but the girls thought it was great. They sure weren't complaining.
