Demolition Day part 2

Well, he ended up having to take out a small portion of the ceiling after all due to the mold. However, we were pleasantly surprised that there wasn't a LOT more damage done to the walls. Over all it looked pretty good underneath all that funk.

So it worked out great that he had the plastic sheeting ready.

Well, I had to leave the house at this point. Catrina and I had a previous engagement ( a wonderful homeschool graduation) so we couldn't watch the rest of the fun. However, when I got home, there was a surprise for me!
Yep, there it is...can you see it? Oh sure, you can. It is that new pink tile on my floor. It wasn't there when I left. Well, new is not really the right word...new to me though. Just because it is probably 50 years old you don't have to grimace when you look at it. Michael thought it might be "fun" to have that in there for a week. Isn't he just the cutest? I guess he didn't think an all day dirty job was big enough for one day. He needed another project so he pulled up all the stuff that was covering the floor. Now, in case you are worried that I might be mad at him, don't. This stuff doesn't look a lot worse than what we used to have.

These next pictures just do not do my husband justice. He is so clever.
You know how in the movies they have to clean the people that got in to the radiation? They are in their suits but they have to get in to the plastic booth and get hosed off? Well, when you get in the shower at my house I feel like that is what I am doing. It is kind of fun...kind of an adventure....kind of like camping.

Who knew you could make all this fun with just 2 tension rods, 2 thick dowel rods, a few shower curtains, curtain rings and the most important ingredient of all? Duct tape! Of course, you should have known that one was coming. Can any man make any thing without duct tape? Of course not...they wouldn't even want to try.

Tomorrow there will be more from this grand adventure. By the time the weekend is over you will be amazed at the transformation. Stay tuned! :-)
