The (Camping) Saga Continues....

(In my case, a bit too much earth.)

We are finally at the end of this journey. We have our new shower and are thrilled. Before I show you the new shower I have to show you a few more photos.

This first picture is a better picture of how Michael made us a shower for a week. Without his creativity I am not sure what we would have done. I guess we would have taken a lot of sponge baths or been driving over to our friends house to borrow their shower.

This worked out much better.

As you can see it does have that "are we camping?" feel but it sure worked.

There is something in the above picture that almost kept me awake at night. It seems like such a small thing. In the corner of the pink tile you can see a crack. Looks pretty small right? Let me ask you this. How far open would you be willing to "crack" your back door before it gave you the creeps. Would you sleep well if your back door was cracked this far open all night? I didn't realize how disturbing this was until the plumber came out. He hollered at me from under the house to turn the water on for him. Not a problem. If the man is willing to go under my house for me I would be more than happy to turn the knob on the faucet for him. I went in the bathroom and waited for the signal. (The signal was pretty basic, "ok, turn it on".) I heard the nice man grunting as he was scooting/crawling on his belly under the house. As I waited I noticed the light from his flash light. The grunting got closer and closer. Then I could see him moving under the house with the help of the light. Well, I am not a genius but I started putting things together. Man crawls under house, I can hear and see man under my house pretty clearly through the cracks. When man leaves, lights go out, what else will come crawling under my house? What else would be small enough to come through those cracks? The cracks I can see and what about the cracks I can't see? I have heard there are tarantulas in Oklahoma. I have heard we have all the poisonous snakes out here too. (Good for us, I know!) Needless to say, at night the bathroom door was shut and a towel was crammed up against the bottom of it. One morning as I stumbled out of bed to visit my "fun bathroom" I noticed that the door had been left open all night. That was not a good moment for me. My oldest daughter kept repeating, I'm sorry, I'm really sorry, sorry Mom"!

(Keep this "little crack" image in your mind. I have another picture for you that will add to that.)

How is this for attaching your shower caddy? I had to laugh when I saw it. That shower caddy is not going anywhere!
