Record Breaking Rain!

In case you haven't heard, we have been getting a tremendous amount of rain. The picture above is of the Coffeyville Oil Refinery that Michael has done a LOT of work in. Same one he had to shave off his beard for. It is hard to see but if you draw a diagonal line from the big white circle to the gray circle you can see a small dot. That is the top of a camera on a 25 ft. pole! Also, Michael said that the circles have 10-15 ft. deep moats around them. Yikes!!! There are several one story buildings that are completely under water and can't even be seen. This happened yesterday.

As of June 30th we have had 17 days of rain in a row. Here is a small article on a local TV Station.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Now that June is over, it's official, it was the wettest June in Oklahoma since the state began keeping records in 1895. The statewide average total of 9.15 inches for last month is almost double the usual average of 4.26 inches.

Central Oklahoma was the wettest part of the state, with 12.96 inches, while the Panhandle was the dryest, at 2.3 inches.

Among cities, Copan in northeastern Oklahoma was among the wettest, recording 18.45 inches. In southwestern Oklahoma, Walters received 12.13 inches.

This has been an amazing summer so far. The good news is that Hannah's watermelon garden is doing GREAT!!!! :-)
